Israel Slaughters Dozens of Palestinians Awaiting Aid in Central Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli occupation forces killed at least 31 Palestinians on Thursday, including 23 civilians awaiting humanitarian assistance, in yet another deadly assault on displaced Gazans in the besieged enclave.
The Israeli troops opened fire on a group of displaced Palestinians early Thursday near the Netzarim corridor, north of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, according to Palestinian media.
The victims had gathered in the area hoping to receive food and humanitarian aid.
Medical sources reported that at least 23 people were killed in the attack, and dozens of others were injured.
Hospital updates raised the death toll to 31 later, with all the casualties being unarmed civilians targeted by Israeli gunfire.
“This massacre is yet another war crime committed by the occupation against starving Palestinians,” a medical worker told local reporters.
Separately, an Israeli airstrike on a house in Deir al-Balah, also in central Gaza, killed 11 more civilians, according to a source at al-Aqsa Hospital.
Several others were wounded in the bombing, as Israeli forces continued their relentless campaign of indiscriminate strikes across the strip.
