Iran Hails PGCC Statement in Condemnation of Israeli Aggression
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson welcomed a communiqué issued by the foreign ministers of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council which has condemned the Israeli violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Esmaeil Baqaei on Tuesday welcomed the statement issued at an extraordinary foreign ministerial meeting of the PGCC in condemnation of the Zionist regime’s act of aggression against Iran’s territorial integrity and national sovereignty that has violated the international law and the United Nations Charter.
“Holding the extraordinary session of the foreign ministers of the (Persian Gulf) Cooperation Council illustrated the regional countries’ common understanding of the unprecedented threat of the Israeli law-breaking and the need for urgent action at the regional and world levels to stop the imposed war against Iran,” the spokesman added.
The Iranian military forces have launched several rounds of retaliatory missile strikes against the Israeli targets since June 13 after the Zionist regime attacked Iran.
The Zionist regime’s unprovoked act of aggression and airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential sites have resulted in the martyrdom of top military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary citizens, including 45 women and children.
