Yemen Strongly Condemns Israeli Terror Attack on Iran’s State Media
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemen strongly condemned the Israeli regime’s brutal terrorist attack on the Islamic Republic of Iran’s state broadcaster, vowing solidarity with Iran against Zionist aggression.
In a firm statement, Yemen’s Ministry of Information, along with Ansarullah’s media organizations and other Yemeni media bodies denounced the barbaric Israeli strike on the headquarters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) in Tehran.
The ministry condemned the attack as a “savage assault” that resulted in the martyrdom and injury of a number of Iranian journalists and media staff.
“This criminal act is a clear extension of the Zionist regime’s aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and a blatant violation of media freedom and journalists' rights,” the statement read.
The ministry called on international media organizations, journalist unions, and institutions that advocate press freedom to take a firm stand against the Israeli regime’s terrorist assault on IRIB.
It urged the global community to pressure international bodies to hold the Zionist criminals accountable and bring them to justice.
In a separate statement, Yemen’s National Radio and Television Corporation also condemned the attack in the strongest terms.
The organization voiced its full solidarity with the IRIB and praised the bravery and resilience of its staff and management.
It reaffirmed its unwavering support for the Islamic Republic of Iran and all media professionals who stand on the frontlines of truth.
Ansarullah’s media agency echoed these sentiments, issuing a strongly-worded statement in which it denounced “the cowardly and criminal aggression of the Zionist regime against Iran’s national media.”
The statement emphasized that such heinous attacks will never deter the Iranian people and institutions from standing firm against Zionist crimes.
“On the contrary,” the statement added, “they will only strengthen Iran’s resolve and determination to continue resisting the Zionist entity.”
The condemnations came after a heavy Israeli bombing on Monday evening targeted the IRIB compound in Tehran.
The savage assault led to the martyrdom of Masoumeh Azimi, a staff member in the secretariat of IRIB, due to the shockwave from the explosion that struck the glass-fronted building.
On Monday morning, IRINN (Islamic Republic of Iran News Network) also reported the death of Nima Rajabpour, an IRIB news editor, who succumbed to his injuries.
The attack sparked global outrage, particularly following the widely circulated footage of IRIB anchor Sahar Emami.
Despite the terrifying blast sound and the studio being filled with smoke and debris, she courageously continued her broadcast, openly denouncing the Zionist regime.
Social media users from around the world slammed the attack as a desperate attempt by the Israeli occupation to silence the voice of truth.
They emphasized that such terrorist operations only deepen Israel’s disgrace on the global stage and reveal its growing impotence.
