A staffer at the secretariat of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) was martyred and several other staff and several journalists were injured following the Israeli airstrike that targeted one of the state TV’s buildings on Monday evening.
In comments at a televised interview on Tuesday morning, Araqchi said the cowardly strike on a civilian center indicated the Israeli regime’s failure in the actual battlefield.
The attack on IRIB proved that the Zionists have been frustrated, he added, dismissing their mistaken belief that assassinating the Iranian military commanders or hitting the civilian sites would force the Iranian nation to surrender.
Highlighting Iran’s steadfast resistance against all pressures and sanctions, the foreign minister said the Israeli regime has been practically disappointed after the martyred Iranian commanders were replaced and the Iranian Armed Forces displayed their preparedness.
The enemy must bear in mind that it won’t be able to find a solution militarily or force the Iranian nation to give in to its demands, Araqchi underlined.
The Iranian military forces have launched several rounds of retaliatory missile strikes against the Israeli targets since June 13 after the Zionist regime attacked Iran.
The Zionist regime’s unprovoked act of aggression and airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear, military and residential sites have resulted in the martyrdom of top military commanders, nuclear scientists and ordinary citizens, including 45 women and children.
