More Hypersonic Missiles Used in Heaviest Iranian Strike on Israel
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A massive missile strike that Iran launched against the Israeli targets early Monday dealt the heaviest blows to the Zionist regime in a chain of retaliatory operations carried out since June 13, as the IRGC has begun to utilize more hypersonic ballistic missiles.
The latest round of Iran’s retaliatory strikes against the Zionist regime was launched in the wee hours of Monday as several ballistic missiles fired by the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps landed on targets in Tel Aviv, Haifa, and cities in central and northern parts of the occupied territories such as Bnei Brak.
The attacks have been launched in response to the Israeli regime’s acts of aggression that have taken the lives of tens of Iranians, including military officials, nuclear scientists and ordinary people, since June 13.
The most recent round of Iran’s operation marked the heaviest missile attacks the Zionist regime has come under during the past four days, as the Israeli power plants and oil refineries have been targeted.
It appears that the IRGC Aerospace Force has decided to enhance the destructive power and velocity of its ballistic missiles in the attacks on Israel.
Heavier warheads have enabled the Iranian missiles to cause more extensive damages to the Israeli targets. Moreover, the IRGC has apparently employed the ‘Fattah’ hypersonic ballistic missiles in the latest operation.
The high velocity missiles can easily defeat the Israeli regime’s anti-ballistic air defense systems.
The Fattah missile’s warhead has a spherical engine running on solid fuel with a movable nozzle that allows the missile to move in all directions.
It can maneuver below and above the Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of Mach 13 to 15.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said after the Israeli attack that the Zionist regime “has made a big mistake, a grave error, and committed a reckless act.”
“By God’s grace, the consequences of this will bring that regime to ruin,” the Leader warned, adding, “Our Armed Forces are ready, and the country's officials and all the people are behind the Armed Forces. Today, similar messages have been issued by all the various political factions and numerous groups throughout the country. Everyone feels that we must give a strong response to the evil, despicable, terrorist Zionist identity.”
