Iranian Navy Intercepts British Spy Destroyer Assisting Israeli Aggression
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A British spy destroyer operating near the Sea of Oman was intercepted and forced to retreat by the Iranian Navy after it was caught attempting to guide Israeli missiles toward Iranian territory.
According to the Public Relations Office of the First Naval District of Iran’s Navy, the destroyer was identified in the northern Indian Ocean late last night.
The warship had entered the region with the apparent aim of aiding the Zionist regime in targeting Iran.
Timely intelligence by the Navy’s surveillance systems led to the detection and tracking of the vessel.
Combat drones from the Iranian Navy issued warnings to the destroyer, preventing its advance toward the Persian Gulf.
The British vessel, caught in the Navy’s operational and intelligence net in the Sea of Oman, was ultimately compelled to alter its course.
Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
Israel launched a series of strikes against Iran, targeting facilities and residential areas early Friday, killing senior military figures and scientists as well as innocent civilians.
In response, the Islamic Republic of Iran carried out precise and proportionate retaliatory strikes, targeting Israeli military positions and intelligence centers.
Iranian officials have emphasized that these retaliatory operations were carried out in line with international law and the nation's legitimate right to self-defense.
The Iranian response sent a clear message of deterrence, demonstrating the country’s readiness to confront aggression and hold the Zionist regime accountable for its repeated crimes.
