Iran, Italy Hold Political Talks in Tehran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The fifth round of political consultations between Iran and Italy was held in Tehran on Sunday.

The meeting was co-chaired by Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht Ravanchi and his Italian counterpart Riccardo Guariglia.

A wide range of topics were discussed in the meeting, including bilateral political, economic, cultural, and consular relations, as well as international issues such as the indirect Iran-US negotiations and the regional developments.

The Iranian and Italian delegations elaborated on their respective views and positions regarding various issues.

The two sides also agreed to follow up on certain issues and hold the next round of political consultations in Rome, according to the Iranian Foreign Ministry’s website.

The Italian deputy foreign minister further held a separate meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
