Iran Won’t Quit Talks: Spokesperson

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – While Iran is not going to bow out of negotiations, it is prepared for every possible scenario, the spokeswoman for the administration said, decrying the US’ flip-flop in the course of indirect nuclear negotiations.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Fatemeh Mohajerani said Iran favors dialogue without changing its stances.

Asked about the possibility of failure of the nuclear talks with the US, she said, “All scenarios are on the table. We are prepared for everything. The (Iranian) administration has no doubt about implementing its plans. Iran won’t leave the negotiating table while protecting its national interests.”

The spokeswoman also denounced the US officials’ contradictory comments amid the negotiations with Iran, saying such paradoxical stances make the talks difficult.

However, the Iranian diplomats cope skillfully with the talks and proceed with the negotiations by safeguarding the Iranian people’s interests, she stated.

Iran and the US have held five rounds of talks since April 12, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
