No Proposal Received from US: Iran’s FM

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran has not received any written proposal from the US yet, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on Friday after the US president claimed that Washington has sent a proposal to Tehran following multiple rounds of indirect

“Iran has not received any written proposal from the United States, whether directly or indirectly,” Araqchi said in a post on his X account on Friday.

“In the meantime, the messaging we —and the world— continue to receive is confusing and contradictory. Iran nonetheless remains determined and straightforward: Respect our rights and terminate your sanctions, and we have a deal,” he added.

“Mark my words: there is no scenario in which Iran abandons its hard-earned right to enrichment for peaceful purposes: a right afforded to all other NPT signatories, too,” Araqchi stated.

“The Great Iranian Nation has shown its Power and Fortitude in the face of those who have attempted imposition. We ALWAYS welcome dialogue based on mutual respect and ALWAYS reject any diktat,” the Iranian foreign minister stated.

Iran and the US have held four rounds of talks since April 12, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
