Iran, Egypt Stress Need for Immediate End to Israeli Attacks on Gaza
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Top diplomats from Iran and Egypt reiterated the need for an end to the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, in a phone call with his Egyptian counterpart Badr Abdul Ati, discussed regional developments and the indirect nuclear negotiations between Iran and the US.
Araqchi gave some explanations to his Egyptian counterpart regarding the fourth round of indirect talks with the US in Muscat.
Abdul Ati, for his part, reaffirmed Cairo's support for the nuclear talks and briefed Araqchi on the state of Egypt's efforts and those of other mediators to restore the truce in Gaza.
The two sides underlined the need for an immediate end to the Zionist regime's attacks against the people of Gaza and Israel's acts of aggression and occupation of Lebanon and Syria.
Araqchi and Abdul Ati also discussed the state of bilateral ties between Iran and Egypt.
