Indirect Talks with US on Agenda: Iranian Spokesperson

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokeswoman for the Iranian administration announced that indirect negotiations with the US has been put on the agenda.

In a post on her X account on Sunday, Fatemeh Mohajerani said Iran’s reply to a letter from US President Donald Trump has been sent and delivered.

Accordingly, the course of indirect negotiations with the US has been put on the agenda, she added.

“The process of diplomacy goes on,” the spokeswoman stated.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said on March 27 that Iran’s formal response to the letter from Trump has been duly sent via Oman.

He noted that the formal reply included a letter in which Iran’s viewpoints on the status quo and on Trump’s letter have been fully explicated.

Araqchi reiterated that Iran’s policy still entails the rejection of direct negotiations under maximum pressures and military threats, but stated that indirect talks can continue as they have been held in the past.
