Israel Kills 9 in Gaza as Palestinians Mark Eid
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli forces continue to bombard Gaza as Palestinians mark Eid al-Fitr, killing nine people, including five children.
Palestinians in Gaza have held prayers to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan and the start of Eid al-Fitr. People prayed amid the rubble caused by Israel’s strikes on the Gaza Strip.
In one video posted by the Palestinian Information Center, the sound of gunfire could be heard as the prayers were held.
The Israeli forces have killed at least nine people on the morning of Eid. The victims included five children, Al Jazeera reported.
Meanwhile, the World Food Programme has warned that its food stocks in Gaza could run out within 10 days as Israel’s punishing blockade continues.
Gaza’s Health Ministry says at least 50,277 Palestinians are confirmed dead and 114,095 wounded in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 2023. Gaza’s Government Media Office updated its death toll about two months ago to more than 61,700, saying thousands of people missing under the rubble are presumed dead.
