21 Killed, 125 Injured in Israeli Airstrikes on Southern Lebanon
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least 21 people have been confirmed dead and 125 injured following Israeli airstrikes targeting the districts of Tyre and Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese Ministry of Health reported on Sunday.
"Israeli airstrikes on Bint Jbeil today resulted in three martyrs in the village of Aita al-Shaab and two martyrs in the town of Souaneh," the ministry stated.
In Bint Jbeil, airstrikes also led to 10 injuries across the villages of Kafra, Bani Hayyan, Tebnine, and Shaqra.
The ministry further reported that strikes on towns in the Tyre district left 16 dead and 115 others injured.
Significant damage was also inflicted on Qana Governmental Hospital as a result of the airstrikes, according to the ministry's statement.
Lebanon's Hezbollah resistance group has been engaged in fighting with Israeli regime since the onset of Israeli genocidal war on Gaza, which began in October 7 last year.
The war has claimed the lives of nearly 41,600 people, mostly women and children.
International concerns are growing over the potential for Israeli attacks in Lebanon to escalate the conflict into a broader regional war.
