Iran Pummels Mongolia in 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualification
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Mongolia 8-0 in the AFC U-20 Asian Cup China 2025 Qualifiers on Sunday.
India and Laos have all to play for in the later match if they are to earn a spot as one of the top five second placed teams.
Iran, who had already booked its place in the Finals after wins against Laos and India in Group G, took the game to Mongolia with Esmaeil Gholizadeh netting in the 24th minute.
Yousef Mazraeh in the 33rd minute, Kasra Taheri from the penalty spot in the 44th minute and Yaghoob Barajeh in the 44th minute scored three more goals to make in 4-0 in the first half.
Abbas Kahrizi (54th), Abolfazl Moradi (73rd, pen), Gholizadeh (82nd) and Ali Asghar Sheikholeslami (89th) scored four goals in the second half to seal the win.
