Iran’s FM Visits Ambassador Injured in Israeli Terrorist Attack in Lebanon

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi paid a visit to a Tehran hospital where the country’s Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani is being treated for injuries sustained in a terrorist attack carried out by the Israeli regime.

Amani expressed his gratitude to the Iranian Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Health, and the Iranian Red Crescent for their swift action in transferring many of the injured to hospitals in Iran.

He also provided details on the nature and extent of the terrorist attack.

During the visit, Araqchi also spoke with Former Minister of Health and Medical Education of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, the attending physician in charge of the ambassador's treatment.

Hashemi outlined the treatment plan for the ambassador and expressed confidence that Amani would soon be able to return to his post in Lebanon.

The hospital's director and officials from the Health Ministry also briefed Araqchi on the current status of other injured people and their ongoing care.

Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Hossein Salami also paid a visit to Ambassador Amani, along with several other people injured in the recent attack, at the hospital in Tehran on Thursday morning.

This terrorist act, carried out bt the Israeli regime, destroyed numerous pagers and communication devices, killing at least 30 people and injuring over 3,450. Several of the injured were subsequently transported to Tehran for treatment.
