2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier: Iran Defeats Kyrgyzstan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran defeated Kyrgyzstan 1-0 in Group A of the AFC Asian Qualifiers -Road to 26- on Thursday.
In the match held in Isfahan’s Fooladshahr Stadium, Mahdi Taremi hit the only goal of the game 11 minutes before the end of the first half.
Iran is scheduled to play the UAE on September 10 at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain.
In the other Group matches, Uzbekistan defeated North Korea 1-0 and Qatar lost to the UAE 3-1.
