Sayyadmanesh Scores As Westerlo Loses to Gent
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Westerlo’s excellent start to the season was cut short by Gent on Sunday evening after it suffered a 4-1 loss in its away match.
Pieter Gerkens opened the scoring for Gent at the Ghelamco Arena in the 29th minute and Mathias Fernandez-Pardo made it 2-0 two minutes later. Gent midfielder Omri Gandelman scored the third goal in the 32nd minute.
With four minutes remaining until the break, Allahyar Sayyadmanesh pulled a goal back but Mathias Delorge scored the fourth goal for Gent.
