Manufacturing 400,000 Electric Motorcycles on Agenda of Iran Industry Ministry: Official
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s deputy minister of industry, mine and trade for transportation affairs said the ministry has prioritized manufacturing 400,000 electric motorcycles in the current Iranian calendar year (started March 20, 2024).
The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade is planning to produce at least 400,000 electric motorcycles in the current year in cooperation with the private sector of the country, Ahmad Aqaei stated.
He put the number of the electric motorcycles manufactured in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 19, 2024) at about 600,000, IRNA reported.
He went on to say that there are about 12.5 million motorcycles in the country.
