Yemen’s Ansarullah Highlights Unity of Regional Resistance against Israel

Yemen’s Ansarullah popular resistance movement announced that its anti-Israeli operations demonstrate the unity of the regional Axis of Resistance in support of Palestine.

Mohammed Abdul-Salam, Ansarullah’s spokesman, conveyed this sentiment to Lebanon’s al-Mayadeen television network on Thursday.

“The operation proved that there is a genuine Axis of Resistance that speaks and acts, a real Axis that rises and moves when necessary,” he stated.

“The Yemeni operation has achieved an important goal by eliminating the abhorrent sectarianism,” he added.

“The Yemeni stance came to embody the true meaning of prioritizing the Palestinian cause over our own difficult situation.”

Since October 7, when Tel Aviv launched an extensive military campaign against the Gaza Strip, resistance groups from Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq have conducted numerous operations against Israel.

Yemen has expanded its targets to include ships heading towards ports in occupied Palestinian territories.

Sana’a has pledged to continue its strikes as long as the Israeli regime sustains its war and the siege on Gaza.

“The Yemeni people have made a clear and explicit stance in support of Gaza, and the operation has achieved its objectives on all levels,” Abdul-Salam noted.

He highlighted Yemen’s advanced technical and military capabilities, including drone and ballistic missile development, as well as logistical and intelligence improvements.

Abdul-Salam also criticized the United States and the United Kingdom for their military operations in Yemen, asserting they are aimed at protecting Israel rather than stabilizing Yemen.

“The American and British military operations came to protect Israel and not to stabilize Yemen,” he said.

He expressed confidence that these efforts would fail, just as they had in Gaza and during Saudi Arabia’s protracted invasion of Yemen.

“The American and British enemies will fail as they did in Gaza, which is only a few square kilometers; thus, it is more likely they will fail in Yemen,” Abdul-Salam stated.

“The American and British operations failed just like the operations that took place in Yemen over the past nine years,” he added.

“Yemen's capabilities have become clear, and Western generals talk about the terror they felt while at sea.”

Regarding potential conflict expansion, Abdul-Salam mentioned that the United States had communicated a desire to avoid broadening the conflict or Yemen’s support for Gaza.

“The response from the leader was that if they are keen on not expanding the conflict, they should stop the Zionist arrogance,” he quoted Ansarullah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi.

Sana’a’s support for Gaza, according to Abdul-Salam, will depend on decisions made by Palestinian leaders and resistance groups concerning any truce or suspension of military operations.

“Yemen will comply,” he confirmed.

He also warned Saudi Arabia against re-escalating its attacks on Yemen or re-imposing a siege, suggesting such actions would be in service of Israel.

“We hope that the Saudis do not slip again into implementing economic measures or punishments against the Yemeni people in service of Israel,” he stated.
