Israeli Forces Kill Three Palestinians in Jenin Raid as Settlers Attack Nablus

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Israeli forces have killed at least three young Palestinians and wounded more than a dozen others during a raid in the northern West Bank, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry and medics.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing Wissam Bakr, the director of Jenin’s government hospital, reported that three Palestinians were killed and at least 15 others injured on Thursday evening when Israeli troops stormed Jenin and its refugee camp, a densely populated urban area.

Bakr identified the three victims as Ibrahim Taher Muhammad al-Saadi, 21; Issa Nafez Jallad, 17; and Uday Ayman Marei, 24.

Bakr added that the wounded were transferred to several medical facilities, including Jenin’s al-Razi and Ibn Sina hospitals.

WAFA reported that a convoy of Israeli army vehicles, including bulldozers, entered the area backed by Apache attack helicopters.

The report stated that Israeli army tanks belonging to special forces destroyed stands belonging to local vendors and fired bullets at the main electrical transformer in the camp, causing a power outage.

Hospitals were surrounded, and emergency services were prevented from reaching the injured, it added.

At least two people were detained as well.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its paramedics treated eight wounded people during the raid, including five who were shot with live bullets and two who suffered shrapnel wounds.

Footage verified by Al Jazeera on Friday also showed Israeli forces pursuing two Palestinians on a motorcycle in Jenin, among the three killed during the military’s raid.

The footage shows the victims being followed by Israeli forces in an armored jeep, then suddenly falling from their motorcycle as if shot from behind.

After the victims crashed to the ground, the Israeli military vehicle pulled up alongside the driver and passenger, pausing briefly before continuing without checking on their wellbeing or providing first aid.

Later video footage shows PRCS ambulance crews retrieving the bodies of the two victims and coming under fire from the Israeli military while doing so.

Meanwhile, in Nablus, Israeli settlers attacked the occupied West Bank town, cutting down olive and citrus trees during an assault on Thursday.

The Times of Israel reported that settlers threw stones at Palestinian residents and attempted to set a house on fire.

Army Radio reported that Israeli forces shot at Palestinians defending themselves, injuring two people.

In addition to the destruction of property and agricultural land, at least 531 Palestinians have been killed and more than 5,200 wounded in Israeli army and settler attacks across the West Bank since October 7.
