Iran Loses to Germany at 2023 Women’s Handball World Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnm) – Iran lost to Germany 45-22 in Group F of the 2023 IHF Women’s World Championship on Saturday.
Iran’s Fatemeh Merikh was named as Player of the Match.
Iran conceded its eighth loss in nine matches at the IHF World Championship and its hopes of progression hang by a thread, with the last match against Japan being paramount for the Asian side, who has lost the first two matches by 43 goals combined.
Iran had lost to Sweden 35-15 in their first match on Saturday.
