Iran’s Abdollahpour among 2023 Best Youth Athlete Candidates
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian para taekwondo player Maryam Abdollahpour Deroei is among the 2023 Best Youth Athletes.
She won a bronze medal in the 2022 Asian Para Games held in Hangzhou, China.
Abdollahpour will vie for the accolade with athletes from Bahrain, Japan, China, Tajikistan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia (two athletes), Uzbekistan and India.
On the sidelines of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) General Assembly and Executive Board elections underway in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, APC announced the name of 10 candidates for the accolade.
