Vafaei Beats Leclerq in 2023 English Open
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Hossein Vafaei of Iran defeated Belgian snooker player Julian Leclerq 4-3 in the 2023 English Open on Tuesday.
The 2023 English Open is a professional snooker tournament that is taking place from October 2 to 8 at the Brentwood Centre in Brentwood, England.
Mark Selby is the defending champion, having defeated Luca Brecel 9–6 in the 2022 final.
All matches are played as the best of seven frames until the quarter-finals, which are best of nine. The semi-finals are best of 11 and the final is a best-of-17-frame match played over two sessions.
