2022 Asian Games: Kurash Player Azarang Collects Gold
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Sadegh Azarang of Iran claimed a gold medal in Kurash in the 2022 Asian Games on Monday.
He defeated South Korean Mingyu Kim 10-0 in the final of the men’s -90kg in Hangzhou.
Azarang had defeated players from India and Turkmenistan in the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.
This is Iran’s fourth gold medal in the Games.
Iran volleyball team and wushu athletes Afshin Salimi and Yousef Sabri have already won three gold medals.
A record high of nearly 12,500 athletes from 45 countries and territories compete across 40 sports in the 2022 Asian Games.
Iran has sent 289 male and female athletes to the Games in 34 sports events.
