Adding New Cameras Depends on Commitment of Remaining Parties to JCPOA: Iran’s Nuclear Chief
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Head of the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization Mohammad Eslami said the installation of additional surveillance cameras in Iran’s nuclear sites would depend on the remaining parties’ commitment to the 2015 nuclear agreement.
"The commitment of the parties and America to the nuclear agreement will be met with an Iranian commitment," Eslami told Al-Jazeera in an interview.
He stated that reversing the reduction in compliance with the nuclear agreement necessitates the lifting of all sanctions.
Furthermore, Eslami highlighted the ongoing dialogue with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), saying, "Our dialogue with the agency continues, and the file of highly enriched uranium atoms was recently closed."
Regarding the future, he suggested that 2023 might bring an end to the political discussions surrounding Iran's nuclear program.
Eslami underscored that Iran's nuclear program cannot be eliminated through military actions or sanctions.
He added that the Israeli regime is well aware that its threats to strike Iran's nuclear facilities are baseless and beyond its capabilities.
He warned that targeting Iran's nuclear facilities militarily would be ineffective and met with a decisive and devastating response.
The nuclear chief also expressed Iran's readiness for constructive cooperation with its Arab neighbors in the nuclear field.
