Herat Hosts Exhibition of Iranian, Afghan Products
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A joint exhibition of products made in Afghanistan and Iran was held in Herat on Friday.
The Iranian and Afghan producers showcased their products and achievements in 22 exposition booths.
The exhibition, attended by Iranian visitors, will last for four days.
Organizer of the exhibition, Ali Khaksar, said Iran seeks to set up an equipped production line in Afghanistan because all kinds of production technologies exist in Iran.
Introducing the Iranian industrialists to the Afghan counterparts can be effective, Deputy of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Herat Ahmad Saeed Sideqi stated, TOLO News reported.
Home appliances, foodstuff, steel and petrochemical products were displayed at the exhibition.
Iran's Consul General in Herat Mohammad Sediqidar said the expansion of trade between Afghanistan and Iran benefits the two countries.
According to official statistics, the trade value between Afghanistan and Iran has reached $2 billion annually.
