The Iran-Pakistan electricity transmission line set a nine-month construction record.

The project for increasing the capacity of the exchange of electricity between Iran and Pakistan includes a double-bundle transmission line 80 kilometers long, 50 km of which is on Iranian soil.

Once this electricity transmission line is put into operation, a 100-percent increase in electricity exchange with neighboring Pakistan will become possible.

Pakistani Energy Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan in an interview with Fars news agency pointed to the development of the capacity of electricity exchange between Iran and Pakistan and said the completion of the construction operation of the power transmission line between Iran and Pakistan during nine months is an international record.
