Iran’s Import of Products from US Down 36% in January

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran’s import of products from the United States in the first month of 2023 hit $3.1 million, registering a 36 percent decline as compared to the same period of last year.

The latest figures released by the US Statistical Center on Monday showed that Iran’s import of products from the US in January 2023 exceeded $3.1 million, indicating a 36 percent decline compared to last year’s corresponding period.

The Islamic Republic of Iran had imported $4.9 million worth of products from the United States in January 2022.

Accordingly, Iran stood in the 172nd place among the US export target markets.

According to the statistics, Iran’s export of products to the US stood at zero level in January 2023. The country had not exported any goods to the US in January 2022 either.
