Iran Stands Firm in Plans for Promotion of Ties with India
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian voiced the country’s determination to enhance relations with India in various arenas.
In a post on his Twitter account on Tuesday, the top diplomat congratulated Minister of External Affairs of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and the Indian government and people on the Republic Day, a national holiday marking the date on which the Constitution of India came into effect on January 26, 1950.
“(Iran) Will continue to work towards further expansion of all-out relations, bilaterally, regionally and at international for a (with India),” Amirabdollahian said.
In a meeting with Jaishankar in Tehran in July 2021, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said the top priorities in the country’s cooperation with India are ensuring collective security with the participation of all regional countries as well as extensive economic interaction.
