Syrian Army Responds After Terrorists Renew Attack on Daraa’s Neighborhoods
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Syrian army returned fire after terrorist groups have resumed attacks on of residential neighborhoods Daraa as well as army checkpoints, obstructing efforts to negotiate a peaceful solution and restore security and stability to the province.
Terrorist organizations have attacked the residential neighborhoods of Daraa city with multiple mortar shells, according to a SANA correspondent reporting from inside the city, which prompted army units to reply by striking the places from which the shells have been launched in the neighborhoods of Daraa al-Balad and al-Sad road.
Four soldiers have been killed and 15 others injured when terrorists attacked army checkpoints in Daraa on Monday.
A child and her mother have also been killed in terrorist attacks on civilian areas on the same day.
In some districts of Daraa, the remnants of terrorist groups are still striving to hinder the Syrian government’s efforts to consolidate security and stability across the province.
