Protests Over Jacob Blake Shooting Spread across NYC (+Video)
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A wave of protests over the police shooting of Jacob Blake flowed into ongoing demonstrations in New York City over injustice and inequality.
Protesters gathered in Union Square, over the Brooklyn Bridge and elsewhere in the New York City on Tuesday, to demand justice for Jacob Blake, a black man who was shot by the police in Wisconsin.
Jacob Blake, an unarmed 29-year-old black man, was shot multiple times in the back on Sunday, by an officer with the Kenosha Police Department, in Wisconsin, as his children watched from a vehicle.
Blake is reported to be paralyzed, with doctors unsure if he will recover the use of his legs.
