US Air Raid Kills 3 Civilians in Syria’s Deir Ez-Zor
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – At least 3 civilians were killed after the US-led coalition pounded residential areas in Syria’s city of Deir ez-Zor, SANA news agency reported on Saturday.
The US and its allies have been bombing what they call Daesh positions inside Syria since September 2014 without any authorization from the Damascus government or a UN mandate.
The aerial assaults, however, have on many occasions resulted in civilian casualties and failed to fulfill their declared aim of countering terrorism.
According to reports by the so-called UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at least 300 civilians were killed in US-led coalition airstrikes conducted at the end of 2018 in the Deir ez-Zor areas bordering Iraq. Among them were over 130 children.
