6 Suspects Arrested in Lebanon in Connection with Beirut Bombings
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Lebanese security forces arrested 6 people in their efforts to find suspects in connection with the recent terrorist attacks in the capital, Beirut.
A senior security source said on Saturday that within 24 hours the network was arrested “in the fastest uncovering of a bombing incident in the country.”
On Thursday, 44 people were killed and nearly 240 others sustained injuries when two large explosions rocked a security post in Hussaineya Street in the crowded Borj al-Barajneh neighborhood in a southern suburb of Beirut.
The Daesh Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for the bombings.
Following the terror attack, Lebanon’s resistance movement Hezbollah vowed to press ahead with its battle against terrorists.
Over the past months, a large number of people have lost their lives in terrorist attacks in the Lebanese capital and some areas in the country’s east.
