Russian Minister: Moscow’s Chances to Regain Position in Iran Market Good
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said Saturday that his country has good chances to reclaim its position in Iran’s market following the July 14 nuclear agreement between Tehran and world powers.
"The Russia-Iran intergovernmental commission will convene in late October-early November. Now Iran is readying proposals regarding participation of companies in its production projects, and when they announce them (proposals) it will be clear whether they meet the interests of our companies," Sputnik quoted Novak as saying on Saturday.
"On the whole we believe that we have a good chance to return to cooperation in Iran projects," he added.
Following the conclusion of nuclear talks between Iran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France and Germany) on July 14, business executives and politicians from different countries are shuttling to Iran to lay the groundwork for investment and trade.
The comprehensive nuclear deal between Iran and the six powers would terminate all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran after coming into force.
