Iran Wins Asian Poomsae Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran won the 3rd Asian Taekwondo Poomsae Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on Sunday.
The Iranian team claimed five gold, three silver and three bronze medals and came first with 65 points in the competition.
South Korea finished in second place with 52 points, bagging five gold and two silver medals.
Host Uzbekistan came third with 40 points. Uzbekistan claimed two gold and seven bronze medals.
The poomsae is the style of conduct which expresses directly or indirectly mental and physical refinements as well as the principles of offense and defense resulting from cultivation of Taekwondo spirit and techniques.
