Spokesman Reaffirms Iran’s Military Readiness

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry’s spokesperson highlighted Tehran’s full military preparedness and deterrent capability in response to speculation about possible attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities, stressing that Iran remains vigilant and resolute in defending its sovereignty.

Speaking to reporters at a weekly press conference on Monday, Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran defended itself decisively during the 12-day war imposed by the Zionist regime and the US in June and continues to use all its capacities to strengthen its military capabilities and prevent any new adventurism.

He also reacted to reports of a recent telephone conversation between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which the Israeli regime reportedly signaled that it does not seek a new confrontation with Iran.

Commenting on Putin’s remarks about the message conveyed by the Israeli regime, Baqaei said, “We listen carefully to the views and proposals of friendly countries. At the same time, we remain fully alert to ongoing developments and, given the deceitful record of the Zionist regime, believe it is essential to maintain vigilance at all levels.”
