Mohammed al-Bukhaiti, a senior member of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, told reporters the group’s “hands are still on the triggers.”
He said: “Our hands are still on the triggers, and if you return (resume hostility), we will return (retaliate).”
Al-Bukhaiti said Yemen’s military capabilities — “from missiles to rifles” — and control of the strategic Bab al-Mandeb strait, the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea were aligned with and coordinated alongside Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
He warned Israelis not to “waste energy searching Gaza’s tunnels,” he said.
Al-Bukhaiti added that continued oppression and attacks on the Palestinian people would make the future cost of reprisals heavier for the Israeli regime.
Earlier, Hazam al-Asad, a senior member of Ansarallah’s political office, told Sputnik that Yemen’s armed forces would suspend operations against the occupied territories if the Israeli regime adhered to a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
