Iran eased past Uzbekistan 3-0 (25-14, 25-14, 25-19) at the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup on Sunday.
Team Melli Banovan had defeated Kyrgyzstan 3-0, Tajikistan 3-0 and Uzbekistan 3-0 in its previous matches.
The competition had originally been scheduled to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal, but was relocated to Tashkent.
The CAVA Women’s Volleyball Challenge Cup is an international volleyball competition for senior women’s national teams that are members of the Central Asian Volleyball Association, the sport’s regional governing body for Central and South Asia.
