Speaking at the inauguration of 13 transport-related projects on Sunday, Poorfarzaneh said the initiatives are valued at $124.8 million and aim to improve the quality of air services and expand transportation nationwide.
He said 11 new airplanes, one helicopter, and five aircraft with fewer than 19 seats have joined the country’s air fleet, significantly boosting the aviation capacity.
According to the official, the addition of the new aircraft brings 2,532 new passenger seats to the national fleet, marking a substantial increase in the country’s air transport capacity and enhancing connectivity across Iran.
