Oman Notified of Iran’s Stances on US Talks
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian foreign minister informed his Omani counterpart about Iran’s viewpoints on the fresh round of nuclear negotiations with the US.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi arrived in Muscat on Sunday for the fourth round of indirect talks with the US, mediated by Oman.
In a meeting with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Araqchi praised Oman for hosting the indirect negotiations and acting as an intermediary that has facilitated the process of talks.
He expounded on Iran’s viewpoints about the most important aspects of the talks with the US and also Tehran’s principled and fundamental stances.
For his part, Al Busaidi reaffirmed Oman’s determination to contribute to the negotiations.
He also briefed Araqchi on the arrangements for the new round of the talks.
Iran and the US have held three rounds of talks in Muscat and Rome on April 12, 19 and 26, mediated by Oman, with the purpose of reaching a deal on Iran’s nuclear program and the removal of sanctions on Tehran.
