The quest for glory in the Asian Cup will kick off on Tuesday, May 6 as the highly anticipated competition returns for a third edition.
Six years after the previous tournament in 2018, 12 contenders will assemble in Hohhot to vie for the crown.
The eventual top three teams will claim the three available berths at the inaugural FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup, to be hosted by the Philippines – who has automatically qualified – in November.
Nine teams progressed from the first ever Qualifiers in January to join host China and 2018’s top two, Iran and Japan, in the Green City.
Two sides are gearing up for their competition debuts, namely Australia and the Philippines, while Iran will gun for a third crown in as many editions.
