Iran Condemns Fatal Israeli Strike on Gaza’s Beit Lahiya
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned an Israeli air strike that has destroyed a five-story residential building sheltering displaced families in Gaza’s Beit Lahiya and killed dozens of Palestinians.
In a statement on Tuesday, Esmaeil Baqaei denounced the ongoing genocide and killing of defenseless Palestinians and the targeting of residential areas and essential infrastructure in Gaza, calling for decisive international action to halt these crimes and to bring the leaders of the occupying regime to justice.
He described the continued attacks on residential areas and the mass killing of Gaza’s residents, coupled with the complete blockade of northern Gaza and the obstruction of humanitarian aid, as a clear instance of war crimes and part of a plan to annihilate the Palestinian people and forcibly displace them from their homeland.
The Iranian spokesman reminded all governments of their responsibility to oppose genocide and war crimes committed by the occupying regime, the ministry’s website reported.
Baqaei strongly criticized the military and political support provided by the US and certain other Western countries to the occupying regime, labeling these states as complicit in the crimes being committed in Gaza.
He finally called for a global mobilization against the ongoing genocide of Palestinians.
