In a meeting on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Russia’s Kazan on Wednesday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and President of the UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan discussed a range of bilateral and regional issues.

They also talked about the issues of common concern, such as the necessity for the cessation of the Zionist regime’s military attacks.

In a separate meeting, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi and his Emirati counterpart

Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan agreed on the need for an end to the Zionist regime’s strikes against Gaza and Lebanon.

Commenting on the talks with his Emirati counterpart, Araqchi said a series of disagreements between the two countries have been also discussed.

“Naturally, we would not miss any opportunity to declare and firmly defend the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stances and interests, particularly about the issue of the three Iranian island” in the Persian Gulf, he added.
