Araqchi Warns US about Aiding Israel in Possible Attack on Iran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Iranian foreign minister reacted to the comments from the US president that he has a good understanding of how and when Israel plans to strike Iran, giving a stern warning that whoever is informed about the timing of or assists in such an attack will be held accountable.
“Anybody with knowledge or understanding of ‘how and when Israel was going to attack Iran’, and/or providing the means and backing for such folly, should logically be held accountable for any possible causality,” Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said in a post on his X account in the early hours of Saturday.
His warning came after US President Joe Biden said on Friday that he has a good understanding of how and when Israel plans to respond to Iran’s recent ballistic missile attack.
Asked by reporters during a visit to Germany, Biden declined to share any details regarding Israel’s planned response to the October 1 missile attack.
On October 1, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime’s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.
While the Zionist regime has threatened to retaliate, Iranian officials have warned that Tehran’s reciprocal response to any Israeli action will be harsh, proportional and well-calculated.
