Iran Exports $104 Million of Medicines in H1: IRICA
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran exported $104.6 million of medicines in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to September 21, 2024), the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) reported.
Also $1.1 billion of medicines were imported into the country in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year by 345 domestic pharmaceutical companies, the report added.
In this period, 54,800 tons of different types of medicines, valued at $1.1 billion, were imported into the country, showing a 3.76 percent and a 4.5 percent growth in weight and value, respectively, IRICA continued, IRIB reported.
More than 49,000 tons of different types of medicine, valued at $104.6 million, were exported from the country between March 21 and September 21, 2024, registering a 15 percent and a 19.7 percent growth in weight and value, respectively, compared to last year’s corresponding period, the report added.
