Yemeni Forces Launch Ballistic Missile at Tel Aviv

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Israeli media reports a ballistic missile attack launched by Yemeni forces on Israeli territories, triggering sirens near Tel Aviv.

The Israeli military claimed to have intercepted the missile, while Yemeni officials promise further details on the operation.

Israeli media stated that Yemeni armed forces launched a ballistic missile targeting Israeli-occupied territories late Thursday night.

Sirens sounded in multiple areas near Tel Aviv, causing widespread panic among the settlers. The Israeli military claimed that the missile, fired from Yemen, was intercepted by their Arrow Aerial Defense System.

Following the attack, Israeli media reported that at least two million settlers rushed to shelters, and nearly 20 people were injured while seeking cover.

Operations at Ben-Gurion Airport were temporarily halted as a precautionary measure.

Senior Yemeni sources, speaking to Al-Mayadeen TV, urged caution regarding the Israeli narrative, advising to wait for the official Yemeni Armed Forces statement.

"The upcoming statement will detail a precise and qualitative operation," the sources added.

The same sources hinted that the operation targeted multiple locations, warning that the area of Yaffa may no longer be secure.

The Yemeni Army has yet to issue a full official statement, though they are expected to release more information soon.

The attack came shortly after Abdul-Malik al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, made a televised address condemning Israeli strikes on Lebanon.

Al-Houthi vowed that his country’s forces would not hesitate to assist Lebanon and Hezbollah in defending against Israeli aggression.

In his address, al-Houthi condemned Israel’s pre-planned aggression against Hezbollah, adding that the Lebanese resistance group remains "stronger than ever before."

Since November, Yemeni forces have targeted Israel-related ships in nearby waters using drones and missiles, saying their actions are in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
