Iran’s Response to Israel Remains Obscure: IRGC Chief
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Israeli regime will be receiving a “hard response” from Iran for the assassination of the Hamas chief in Tehran, the commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps warned, saying the retaliatory operation will be kept dark.
Addressing a cultural event, held in Tehran on Monday in commemoration of the Journalist Day, Major General Hossein Salami said the Zionist regime is being gradually buried in pits dug by itself.
On the martyrdom of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, the commander said the Israeli regime will realize that it has miscalculated after it receives a hard response from Iran.
The Zionists have once again made a mistake, the general stated, adding that Iran’s retaliatory response will remain obscure.
The Israeli regime assassinated the head of the political bureau of Hamas in Tehran in the early hours of July 31.
Haniyeh, who was in Tehran to attend the new Iranian president’s swearing-in ceremony, was martyred in a special residence after being hit by an aerial projectile.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has warned the Israeli regime of a "harsh response" for Haniyeh's assassination, calling it the Islamic Republic's duty to avenge the Palestinian resistance leader's blood.
