Iran Exports over 11 Million Tons of LPG Overseas in One Year: FGE
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran exported more than 11 million tons of the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) overseas in the previous Iranian calendar year (March 21, 2023 to March 19, 2024), the FGE Consultancy Company said.
Iran became the biggest Middle Eastern supplier of LPG last year (ended March 19, 2024), with exports increasing 28% to over 11 million tons, according to an analysis of ship tracking data and market intelligence by consultancy Facts Global Energy.
The firm expects exports to continue climbing beyond 12 million tons this year, Bloomberg reported.
The increase is driven by rising production from the South Pars Gas Field as well as greater shipping capacity between Iran and China.
