Rouhollah Latifi said Iran’s export of agricultural products also showed an 8.4% of hike in volume from March 21, 2023, to January 22, 2024.
He went on to say that the country’s export of agricultural, fisheries, livestock and food products in the first 10 months of the current year recorded a 22% growth compared to last year’s corresponding period.
More than six million tons of agricultural, food, livestock and fisheries’ products, valued at over $4 billion, were exported from the country between March 21, 2023, and January 22, 2024, registering an 8.4 percent and a 22 percent up compared to the same period last year, Latifi highlighted.
Regarding the value of food and agricultural products exported from the country in this period, the spokesman said that $561.4 million, $478.7 million, $255.4 million, $248.7 million and $244.9 million worth of dairy, pistachio, tomato, apple and fishery products were exported from the country.
More than 751,000 tons of non-oil goods, valued at over $551 million, were exported from the country in the Iranian month of Dey in the current year (December 22, 2023 to January 22, 2024), showing a 16% and 21% hike in volume and value respectively compared to the last year’s corresponding period, Latifi added.
