Speaking at a conference on the export of non-oil goods, held in Tabriz on Thursday, Mohammad Jafar Ozmaei stated that the export of non-oil products from the northwestern province has increased between March 21 and November 22 compared to the same period last year.

Despite the problems with trade, the merchants of East Azarbaijan province showed acceptable performance in this respect, he said.

He added that Turkey, Iraq and Armenia have been the major trader partners of this province.

He went on to say that $1.06 billion in non-oil products was imported into this province in the first eight months of the current Iranian year, registering a 29 and 20 percent growth in value and weight respectively compared to the same period last year.
